Southern Cloudywing (Thorybes bathyllus)

The warm brown tones of the Southern Cloudywing will enhance the green and brown earth tones in your garden. The characteristic white spotting on the front of this butterfly gives the illusion of speed and movement, much like paint that has dried in a streak from a hard blowing breeze. The wide wings accented with white specks reveal enchanting patterns when the wings of the Southern Cloudywing steadily beat in flight. The undersides of this creature’s wings reveal bands in multiple shades of brown. You will appreciate the subtle and tender aura brought out by the presence of this remarkable butterfly.
