Bermuda Grass (Cynodon dactylon)

This beautiful warm season perennial grass provides a full thick turf where ever sown. It is used commonly in golf courses, sports fields, parks, pastures, and many household yards. It stays a dark lush green color when temperatures are above 60 degrees Fahrenheit and goes dormant and turns brown when temperatures drop below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Bermuda grass is one of the favorite and preferred grasses in the southern states and can easily be planted using seed. Many skippers use this grass as a host plant so prepare to be astonished when you see the quick little skippers skipping from grass blade to grass blade laying their tiny eggs!
