These wildflowers are members of the Aster family. They have interesting pink or purple flower heads that are composed of several narrow tube-shaped flowers. They grow upright with only one flower head per stem. They are fairly easy to grow and are great for supporting local wildlife; butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, and Goldfinches are just a few that benefit from this wonderful plant. This is the perfect wildflower to include in naturalized areas and prairie gardens.
