Overripe Fruit
Overripe fruit is a popular food source for many butterflies that may not nectar at your plants. Simply place a peeled banana, an orange slice or a nectarine wedge on a dish outside and let nature take over.
You can experiment with various fruits to discover which ‘menu’ is preferred by the butterflies in your area.
Be sure to replace any dried-out fruit with ‘fresh’ overripe pieces to keep your customers returning.
