(aka Purpletop Verbena, Purpletop Vervain)
Butterflies are very fond of these lovely plants. They have beautiful clusters of small blue flowers that bloom on long airy square-shaped stems.
They can reach up to 4 feet tall and 3 feet wide. To encourage branching, pinch new shoots throughout the spring and summer. They grow best in full sun, but can handle some shade.
Tall Verbenas will bloom throughout the summer until the first frost. These beautiful plants are perfect in the back of any perennial garden.
